Faisant suite au terrible tremblement de terre et au tsunami survenus en 2011 au Japon que l'artiste Manabu Ikeda a commencé son oeuvre intitulé "rebirth" (renaissance). Ce tableau immense (4 m X 3 m) est réalisé minutieusement à la plume et à l'encre. Il représente un arbre qui pousse au milieu des débris provoqués par l'énorme vague destructrice. Et une lecture plus approfondi du tableau rélève mille et un détails dont des individus, des plants, et animaux se débattant pour leur survie. Après un travail de plus de 3 ans et demi, on peut comprendre l'émotion que ressent l'artiste.

Following the terrible earthquake and tsunami in 2011 in Japan, artist Manabu Ikeda began his work entitled "Renaissance". This huge painting (4 m X 3 m) is done with pen and ink.
